RVSD Quietly Extends Superintendent’s Contract

On October 9th, 2018, the Ross Valley School District quietly agreed to extend Superintendent Rick Bagley's current contract by 5 years.
Bagley, who was hired in 2015 at a base salary of $205,000 per year, currently earns $223,649.25 in base pay with a benefits package worth $48,167.06.
Bagley's hiring raised eyebrows when information about his actions in his previous position came to light.
The contract extension was not open for public discussion prior to the Board's decision. The Ross Valley School District board of trustees, which regularly communicates to its parent base about RVC's Prop 39 status, continually fails to communicate about other important decisions and issues like this one with its families.
